Here at The Recruitment Co, we are currently recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work for a company based in Caerphilly on a temporary contract covering 3-6 months.

Main job roles:

  • Responsible for ensuring availability of plant and machinery resources to meet the Company's operational requirements and minimising downtime.
  • To organise daily workload to ensure the most efficient solution to meet the demands of the engineering plan.
  • To undertake repairs and maintenance checks on plant, machinery, equipment and facilities as instructed.
  • To carry out regular checks on essential plant, machinery and equipment as part of the planned preventative maintenance schedule.
  • To install new plant, machinery or equipment, in association with external contractors as required.
  • To consider the demands of engineering on production and liaise with the Maintenance Manager in order to agree the most effective overall maintenance solutions.
  • To ensure outside contractors undertake their duties to the standard required and in line with general, and Company, health and safety policy.
  • To contribute actively to the design and development of engineering solutions to problems in consultation with Management.
  • To be available for adhoc work and call outs where required outside of normal hours and subject to prior agreement.

Required Experience

  • Previous Mechanical engineering experience is essential
