We at Direct Healthcare Group Ltd are looking to expand our Purchasing Team with the addition a Strategic Buyer. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to broaden your experience within Purchasing.

As Strategic Buyer you will:

• Use your experience of sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to optimise costs and quality to full advantage.
• Play a key role in managing the approved supplier list.
• Support supply contract negotiation and drive continuous cost improvements.
• Be involved in cost saving projects and be able to identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms.
• Liaise effectively with internal teams including production, engineering and finance to align purchasing strategies.
• Draw on your market knowledge to analyse trends and potential risks.
• Showcase your organisational skills when ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations and ethical procurement standards.

What we are looking for:

• Membership of a recognised global procurement institute such as the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) or the Institute of Supply Management; or be working towards to a professional qualification.
• Experience in contract management with international suppliers
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multifunctional teams and international suppliers.
• Knowledge of strategic purchasing practices.
