We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our client's dynamic team in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail buying, excellent negotiation skills, and a keen eye for fashion trends. You will be responsible for managing the buying process, developing strategic relationships with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.

Description

  • Plan and build a commercially balanced range whilst achieving margin targets as set by company.
  • Drive regular departmental product reviews, ensuring coordination across departments in terms of trends, looks and colour palettes.
  • Operate an effective and timely product sign off process, in line with the critical path and planning cycle
  • Takes responsibility for maximising profit on the department through strong negotiation and development of global supplier relations.
  • Trade the department and analyse relevance of new and emerging trends for the brand and plan accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with the merchandising team to monitor and control trade, in order to ensure stock turn, margin targets and profit levels are achieved.

Profile

  • Keen eye for fashion trends and the whole product buying process.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
