Reed Finance is currently supporting one of our long-standing and established clients to support in the recruitment of a newly created Accountant position on an initial 12-month Fixed Term basis. Â
Reporting into the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely finance support to the business, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of all required financial reporting and information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of quarterly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and Variance Analysis
- Production and review of audit schedules and statutory accounts
- Liaising with external auditors during the annual audit
- Preparation of monthly contract performance reports, including review of monthly contract provisions and contract sales reports
- Preparation of monthly VAT returns and monthly CIS returns
- Reconciliation between job costing system and financial system
- Assisting in monthly cash flow reporting
- Assisting and preparing budgets
- Financial planning and analysis
- Reconciliation of balance sheet/intercompany accounts, investigation into variances, and resolution
- Supporting the Financial Controller in the drive for continued improvement of management reporting
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls for your area of responsibility
Candidate:
- Part, Fully Qualified or QBE
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Knowledge of SAGE
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Current experience of reporting to strict deadlines
