The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are currently working with a UK wide firm of accountants in the recruitment of a corporate tax senior who will be based in one of their main offices located within the central belt of Scotland.

This is a newly created role that has been the result of continued growth and the firm seeing an opportunity to build expertise in this specific area.

You will be reporting to the senior tax manager who in turn reports into the director of tax operations. You will be joining a sizable team spread across multiple locations across Scotland and who have a close and collaborative working culture.

The ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to provide corporate tax services to a number of corporate businesses ranging in size. Your portfolio will include large, complex audit cases as well as owner managed businesses and businesses in between.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;Prepare corporate tax return and associated computations and schedules.Leading the corporate tax assignment, supervising, delegating and monitoring the work of trainees.Liaising closely with your portfolio of clients and communicate key information within agreed timelines.Identification of tax planning opportunities.Work closely with other departments to ensure a positive experience is achieved for clients and that cross-fertilisation opportunities are maximised.Communicate with senior tax manager and director of tax operations in relation to workflows, challenges and unforeseen eventualities.

The RequirementsWe are ideally seeking an individual who is CTA or ATT qualified, however our client has indicated that they would consider an applicant who is qualified by experience (within tax in an accounting firm). The location of work is flexible, however we would expect applicants to be based in either Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife or Dundee. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about delivering first in class service to their clients and who are strong communicators.
