Our client are looking for an experienced/ time served multi-skilled engineer, someone who has experienced as a Welder Fabricator and a CNC Machinist. They are a well-established independent company which provide specialist machinery to the agricultural and construction industries!

Welder Fabricator and CNC Machinist Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Weld to a BS EN 9606-1, BS EN 9606-2 standard using MIG, TIG and MMA processes
  • Programme, set and operate CNC lathes and Mills as well as Manual Lathes and Mills
  • Work from engineering drawings to create components to tight tolerances, completing in process and final inspection of machined/ welded parts
  • Operate a range of hand, power and workshop tools including but not limited to: Press Brakes, Saws, Drills and Grinders
  • Use of an overhead crane to transport materials, taking care to ensure parts aren’t damaged - maintain equipment to similar high standards

The ideal Welder Fabricator and CNC Machinist will:

  • Be able to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Be experienced in welding processes and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
  • Experienced in programming, setting and operating CNC and Manual lathes and Mills
  • Be able to use electrical or manual tools and equipment
  • Have previous experience of inspecting own work and others to technical documents
  • NVQ Level 3 or be a time served engineer
  • Current or previous professional certification (e.g. BS EN 9606-11 BS EN 9606) (Desirable)
  • Have worked within a Quality Management System (Desirable)
  • Forklift Licence (Desirable)
