CNC Machinist with a background in component / Mechanical / Machining manufacturing.environment setting and operating both Mills and Lathes
If you are or have been working in a componentengineering business and now seeking a opportunity to further develop your skills and experience tobecome a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator this is for you.
Duties will include
- Setting up and ensuring relevant program is ready to run on either a CNC lathe or VMC
- CNC Turning
- You will be operating both Lathes and Milling Machines
- Running machines concurrently
- Ensure components are produced to specified tolerances from technical drawings
- Inspect components using various measuring equipment such as verniers, thread gauges, callipers, micrometres etc.
- Debur components across a range of materials
- Report any anomalies to the Machine Shop Manager
- Work with Quality Inspection Department during component manufacture.
- Maintain a clean and tidy environment and maintained company standards
- Carry out weekly clean of your assigned CNC machines.

The Person
You will have experience working within a component manufacturing environment ideally with some machine setting and operating knowledge. An engineering qualification.
- HNC/HND/NVQ in mechanical engineering
- Setting and Operating Milling and Turing Machines
- Read engineering drawings
- Knowledge of Verniers, thread gauges, callipers, micrometres etc.
- Deburring
- Quality control and Inspection
- Live within easy commute of Camberley. Not looking for a relocator
