This is an exciting opportunity to join a small friendly HR consultancy, that prides itself on providing a professional yet pragmatic approach to supporting employers.

Working on a part-time basis this role will be based out of their modern spacious offices in Camberley (free parking on site) with the option for hybrid working as appropriate. The very friendly office dogs will be in attendance too so a love for dogs is an essential requirement!

Fuelled by caffeine and biscuits, a willingness to stick the kettle on regularly will mean you will feel very much part of their happy team!

What we need from you:

  • You will need a minimum of 3 years of current generalist HR knowledge to give correct, legally compliant, business-focused, and pragmatic advice to clients
  • Have excellent attention to detail and written communication skills to produce written documents to a high standard in terms of format, grammar, and spelling
  • Be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks with a variety of clients where no two days are the same
  • Able to think on your feet when clients share new challenges and employment matters with you
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to be able to strike the right balance in presenting a professional image with authority, whilst being empathetic, friendly, and approachable
  • A robust sense of humour and the ability to find a light-hearted moment in a sometimes-pressured day are essential HR Consultancy skills!
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite
  • Experience in using SharePoint and MS Teams functions will be useful but training can be provided
  • Driving Licence to go out on occasionalsite visits for which expenses are paid


What the role involves:

You will account manage retained HR Support clients providing a broad spectrum of HR support and consultancy as required within their monthly agreement. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • HR admin (with some support from the company administrator) through to strategic planning as needed most of the requirements will be on operational matters
  • Providing a combination of advisory support and hands-on activity either for or alongside the employer
  • Provide cover for other consultants absences with their client accounts
  • Provide HR Services to ad-hoc clients on a project basis as allocated to include but not limited to recruitment, disciplinary and grievance matters, absence management, parental matters, flexible working requests, redundancy, and TUPE situations
  • Create, update, and maintain client documents such as staff handbooks, policies, and procedures in line with either legislation changes or by client request


Salary: £20 per hour. (£39,000per year full-time equivalent).

Hours: 15 hours per week. Ideal hours would be Monday (home or office / Wednesday (office) / Thursday or Friday (home or office) with flexibility on start/finish times.
