Having been established for over 25 years and with a group annual turnover in excess of 70M, this client has grown year on year into a multi-disciplined provider of demolition, earthworks, remediation, and waste management and they pride themselves on their excellent reputation to deliver projects within budget and to program, whilst always maintaining high standards and quality.

About the opportunity:

Due to a healthy order book, there is need for a Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Director in the successful commercial and financial management of projects and tenders within demolition and general enabling works sector.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in managing costs with an end goal of maximising the project margin and ensure delivery of payment whilst developing future client relationships. Key responsibilities will include assisting in the day to day tasks to provide further commercial support to both project delivery and estimating teams within the company which can be broken down into the following; Assisting in the prompt presentation for all applications for payment and final accounts, including all contractual entitlements / assisting in ensuring that all payments are received in accordance with the contract terms, as well as assisting in the preparation and presentation of monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) and final cost/value forecasts. This opportunity will also encompass procurement, negotiation and the placing of sub-contract orders; which inevitably leads to assisting in the financial and commercial management of sub-contracts through settlement of Final Accounts.

All tasks need a high level of detail and pride in presentation, especially when drafting contractual letters/notices to ensure they are presented in accordance with the contract requirements.

For this permanent opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from 65,000 to 80,000 per annum however specific salary will be defined upon experience and suitability.

About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management and will hold a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience working within the demolition and enabling works sector in the UK. You must hold a full understanding of JCT forms of contract and due to site locations, you must hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel.
