KRS is recruiting a Freelance English and Math's Tutor for our sister company, Knights Training Academy.KTA are seeking freelance GCSE Maths and English Tutors to work remotely delivering to small groups of 16-18 year old's to prepare them for their exams in May 2025. The ideal candidate should be able to support withtheir specific educational requirements in order to enable them to achieve their academic goals, including students re-sitting GCSE/functional skills English and math's.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Assist, advise and provide support for individual students, as appropriate.

Work within the study support team for the support of students resitting GCSE/Functional skills English and maths.

Provide regular one-to-one support for students to monitor progress and outcomes.

Support subject tutors with information to enable them to adapt and amend teaching and learning to meet needs.

Assist assigned students with integration into KTAs community and environment.

Select, adapt and devise materials for use with assigned students.

Liaise with subject and other staff regarding student support requirements.

Utilise available resources within KTA (books, manuals, computer equipment, etc) in order to assist the student with their education.

Assist students to use equipment/resources effectively.

Maintain a learning environment in which the student can work effectively.

Skills/qualifications:

  • Experience of teaching/delivering in learning support areas.
  • Previous experience of supporting GCSE English and math's
  • Hold a PCGE or teaching equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to relate to staff at all levels
  • The ability to encourage and motivate people
  • Organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead and manage your time
  • Presentation skills
  • The ability to write reports, keep records, and work within budgets
  • Computer skills.
  • Knowledge in the core subjects.
  • Enhanced DBS check

Hours - varied within Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Pay - negotiable

Must hold a PGCE or equivalent teacher qualification

Competency - specialist in your chosen subject
