We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to join us in our diverse and ever expanding Hampshire based business to help lead us through our next period of growth.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Commissioning Manager, Senior Commissioning Engineer, Test & Commissioning Manager - Machinery, Manufacturing

Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, you will manage your own team with full responsibility for the people, procedures, and processes. Managing, motivating, and engaging the team of 12 staff to meet business targets while setting the example by creating a positive and respectful environment within the team.

You will have proven people management skills, as more than 50% of this role will take the HR side of team management. You may have worked within a larger organisation as a Team Leader or Supervisor, or you may currently be working within a smaller company with the job title of Manager.

This will include:
· Maintaining constant communication with managers, staff, and other departments to ensure effective workings for the area of Test and Commissioning
· Actively encouraging the reporting of ‘non-conformance’ and ‘near misses’ for the area of responsibility and own the root cause analysis where applicable
· The ability to effectively delegate responsibilities whilst maintaining control of the area of Test and Commissioning
· Overseeing the planned monthly work in line with customer promised dates to improve accurate lead times for sales orders
· Continuously monitoring and improving the efficiency of the team

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Commissioning Manager, Senior Commissioning Engineer, Test & Commissioning Manager - Machinery, Manufacturing

To be successful as our Test and/or Commissioning Manager, you must have experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment. It is essential you can demonstrate people management skills including performance management. You must also be organised with strong time management skills, have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as commercial acumen.

Communication skills are also key, as although you will be based internally, you will require a good working relationship with the Geotechnical Consultant and Support Manager who deals with on site installations and training.

The ideal candidate will have:
· Bachelor’s degree or demonstrable experience within a manufacturing environment
· Proven management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
· A change agent who can challenge and drive process improvements
· Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes
· The ability to work effectively across departments engaging key stakeholders
