• Managing audit and assurance engagements across a range of industries
• Leading a varied client portfolio, from SMEs to major regional businesses, charities, and international groups
• Supervising and mentoring a team of auditors, supporting their professional development
• Reviewing audit assignments, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards
• Leading client relationship management, acting as a trusted advisor

• ICAEW or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
• Proven experience in audit, gained within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, with experience in corporation tax being advantageous
• A commercial mindset, with experience in business development, client tenders, and networking
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident in front-line client contact
• Experience with CCH accounts software (or similar accounting packages) would be beneficial
• Flexibility to travel, with occasional overnight stays when required
• A full UK driving licence and access to own transport is essential
