We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations and creating financial reports, whilst also managing the team. We will be looking at an interim appointment whilst we recruit permanently, this could also be a temp to perm arrangement.

Description

  • Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
  • Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President, COO and CFO concerning strategic planning.
  • Review financial reports to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Monitor financial details to ensure legal compliance.
  • Supervise employees working in the accounting department.
  • Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.
  • Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • Relevant educational qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • A full qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Prior experience in a large company environment - £50m+
  • Able to give tangible examples of process improvements
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
  • Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
  • Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting.
