Graduate Trainee - Accounting and Analysis

12 month fixed term placement

South Cambridge (hybrid)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a recent graduate to join the finance team of a leading biotech business based in South Cambridge, for a fixed period of 12 months.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this role will see the successful candidate taking responsibility for a number of varied accounting and analytical tasks, and providing support to the wider finance team.

Duties to include:

  • Run monthly finance reports to analyse company revenue performance and spend management
  • Assisting with the production of slides for the monthly leadership team meeting 
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles 
  • Assisting with weekly sales flash reporting 
  • Supporting the Finance Director and external consultants with supply chain forecasting  
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects
  • Other ad hoc finance responsibilities to support agile finance team

This client is looking for a recent graduate, with ideally a degree in a relevant subject.  Good secondary education grades are also desirable.

Candidates should be IT literate, with a good level of competency using Excel and Word, and with an aptitude for learning new systems.

You should have a genuine interest in finance and be looking to start an accounting / finance career.  You will gain invaluable exposure to a range of tasks within a fast moving and dynamic sector.
