Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage and support a finance team, ensuring effective guidance and leadership.
- Oversee the month-end process, including management accounts and board pack delivery.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain clean balance sheet reconciliations.
- Regularly forecast cash flow and manage financial positioning.
- Review and approve monthly payroll and utilize financial software for reporting and insights.
- Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes to align with financial objectives.
- Act as the primary contact for external financial stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all financial reporting and tax filing requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement within the finance team, enhancing processes and systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a numerical background.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Effective management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and strong software skills, particularly in Excel.
- Experience in process improvement and systems management.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in a high-tech, fast-moving industry.
- Familiarity with ERPs and accounting systems.
