I have an urgent requirement for a Financial Controller for a company based in Cambridge. This role is being offered initially for a period of 6 months but with the potential that it could become permanent. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role is responsible for managing a team of 12 staff. As a key member of the divisional leadership team, you will take ownership of financial strategy, business planning, and financial control. You will support sales and investment processes, ensuring robust financial and commercial decision-making. This is an opportunity to drive change, improve operational effectiveness, and contribute to a high-performing, commercially focused finance function.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of divisional strategic and operational plans
  • Provide financial, commercial, and taxation expertise to support sales and investment decisions
  • Oversee multi-year business planning and ensure alignment with company priorities
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial processes and operational activities
  • Manage financial reporting, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful reporting and analysis
  • Ensure a robust financial control environment within the division
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team
  • Provide key financial reports and insights to the parent company
