This is a fantastic chance to work for one of them and benefit from everything they offer including career progression.Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a very varied role incorporating both aspects of financial accounting and business partnering. Specifically, you will be involved in the following:
  • Delivering all aspects of the college's management accounting including variance analysis, cost and cashflow management, and providing accurate financial information to support the FD's strategic financial responsibilities.
  • Finance business partnering to produce budgets and forecasts
  • Liaising with and training non - financial people to understand key metrics and their business impact.
  • Simplifying processes where needed.
  • Leading the financial transactional processing including reviewing the work of the finance team, ensuring journals have been posted correctly. This area covers management of income, student billings, cashbook and accounts payable functions.
  • Managing and mentoring the team.  
Ideally, you will be a qualified accountant with several years' post qualification experience. Educational or charity experience would be a plus but is not essential. You must also have UK residency or a long term visa with the right to work in the UK. Benefits are extensive and include:
