As a Tax Trainee, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements by inputting client data, reconciling accounts, and compiling supporting documents.
  • Process VAT reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and tax computations for both personal and corporate tax.
  • Support the audit team with systems testing, balance sheet reviews, and stock takes.
  • File self-assessment tax returns, VAT returns, and company annual returns online.
  • Maintain accurate financial records using in-house accounting software.

What they are looking for:

  • An indivdual with a keen and genuine interest in a future career within accountancy.
  • Grade 5 upwards in English/ Maths.
  • Good A-Level results in a related subjects to accountancy e.g., business, economics, maths.
  • Strong numerical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • IT knowledge (advantageous).
