Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and motivated M&E CAD Technician to join our dynamic team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) drawings using CAD software, supporting our engineering projects from concept to completion.Key Responsibilities:
- Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D M&E drawings using CAD software.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and reports.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and verify drawings.
- Maintain and update CAD libraries and project files.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an M&E CAD Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
- Strong understanding of M&E systems and building services.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) software.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
