Experienced Temporary Cell Biology Scientists

Role Overview: I am are seeking highly experienced cell biologists with extensive mammalian cell culture expertise to join a leading Cambridge based Biotech. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to drug discovery workflows and work in an industrial setting. You will be instrumental in driving the delivery of large-scale cell-based screening programs over the next 3-4 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to perform essential cell biology activities, ensuring project timelines and specifications are met.
  • Maintain various mammalian cell cultures and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Utilize lab information management systems (LIMS) and equipment such as cell counters, liquid handlers, plate readers, and cellular imagers to support screening workflows.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • PhD in Biotechnology or a Biological discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive experience in mammalian cell culture and excellent aseptic technique.
  • Proven track record in planning and performing a range of mammalian cell-based assays.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with transfection, transduction, and gene expression modulation techniques (e.g., CRISPR-Cas9, siRNA, shRNA).
  • Knowledge of molecular biology techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR.
  • Experience in high throughput screening and combination screening, including analyzing and interpreting compound dose-response experiments.
