Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Hours: 37.5

Shift Pattern: 10am till 8:30pm - Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and 10am till 8pm on Friday or Monday till Wednesday from 11:30 am till 10 pm and Sunday from 11:30 am till 9:30 pm

Job Location: Cambridge

We are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our food testing and analytical services team. As a Food Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting tests and analysis to ensure the safety and compliance of food products with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

You will work in a laboratory environment, detecting potential hazards and reporting on findings / data (e.g., instrument failures, equipment out of tolerance, qc failures, abnormal readings/results).

Qualifications

We are actively seeking candidates who may be transitioning from industries such as retail, customer service, hospitality, warehouse and distribution.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to follow procedures and processes accurately.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including communication and active listening.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, and LIMS systems.
