We are currently working in partnership with a reputable Civil Engineering company who are looking to strengthen their team with a hands-on Bookkeeper.
Salary to £38k |Pension| 28 Days Holiday | Hybrid Working
Key Essentials:
* Responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
* Processing invoices including subcontractor payments, reconciling accounts and maintaining ledgers
* Preparation and submission of financial reports
* Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and financial statements
* Produce cash-flow reports and keep management aware of the company's financial status
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
* Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the Sage system
* Maintaining and updating financial controls
* Working closely with external Accountant for financial audits at year end
Requirements:
* Previous proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar position
* Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations (VAT & PAYE), accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
* You should be proficient in the use of accounting software (ideally Sage) and Excel
** Working hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm **
