I am currently recruiting for a Caretaker to join a college based in Cambridgeshire on a temporary ongoing basis.
An Enhanced DBS Check will need to carry out for the successful candidate.
My client is looking for an experienced Caretaker who is experienced within general maintenance repairs.
You will be required to:
- Assist in maintaining the physical condition of the buildings, furniture, and equipment.
- Carry out cleaning & janitorial tasks throughout the College, as required, using specialist cleaning equipment, when necessary.
- Conduct checks of the College's appearance and carry out extra cleaning duties as required, when necessary.
- Assist with distribution of post, packages & deliveries.
- Monitor that College buildings are adequately heated and report faults.
- Assist in ensuring adequate lighting is available by replacing light bulbs and tubes, as necessary.
- Assist in the checks, maintenance and repairs to grounds, buildings, fixtures, furniture, and equipment as required.
- Report the need for specialist repairs to line manager.
- Direct and supervise tradesmen and contractors to the sites of repair and maintenance work.
- Clear blockages of drains and gullies as required.
- Clear snow from grounds and salts stairs, paths, and roads, ensuring safe access to the College.
- Assist in ensuring all Caretaking equipment is in safe working order.
- Assist in providing emergency cover, i.e. disaster recovery etc.
- Maintain access to the College in cases of emergency.
Pay Rate:
- 15.00ph (umbrella rate)
Hours:
- 37 hours per week (Mon to Fri)
