We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our school team in St Neots, starting after the October half term. This role is crucial in maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of our school environment, ensuring it is a secure and welcoming place for all students and staff.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of the school premises.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance tasks to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Manage cleaning, waste disposal, and minor repair works.
  • Operate heating and alarm systems, ensuring they are functional at all times.
  • Support the setup of classrooms and facilities for various school events and activities.
  • Monitor the security of the premises during opening hours and respond to security alerts efficiently.
  • Work closely with the rest of the school staff to create a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • High standards of cleanliness and maintenance.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to use initiative.
