I am currently working with a fantastic organisation in Cambridge who are looking for a Maintenance Assistance to join the team on a full-time permanent basis.

Theyre ideally looking for someone who has previous experience in a similar position, but would be open to the right candidate if they were looking to learn and grow within the team.

Typical duties would include:

  • Supporting the facilities team in ensuring the smooth operation of the college building and site.
  • Keeping drains clear from obstructions and picking litter to keep the college grounds clean & tidy.
  • To report any unsafe conditions or appliances around the college.
  • Conducting minor maintenance tasks as needed.
  • To complete job sheets when jobs have been completed.

The successful candidate:

  • A good understanding of Health & Safety regulations
  • Able to cope with a physically demanding job
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work as part of a large team.

It would be desirable in the successful candidate had previous maintenance or trades experience, particularly within plumbing or electric works.
