Natural Cambridgeshire, hosted by Nene Park Trust, is the Local Nature Partnership for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

We bring together representatives from local government, conservation groups, communities, landowners, farmers and developers in a shared ambition to double the space for nature in the county.

The team has taken on a number of exciting new projects and programmes, and we are now looking to recruit an Executive Officer to join us on a part-time basis. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in supporting the Director and Partnership Co-ordinator, providing business support across the breadth of Natural Cambridgeshire’s areas of influence.

The role will encompass a variety of tasks including but not limited to the following:

  • Organisational support including assisting team members with meetings and calendars, setting up and supporting a new shared filing system for staff and Trustees, and dealing with day to day correspondence from partners, stakeholders and the public.
  • Governance support including minutes and supporting the logistics of meetings, with the opportunity to take on a formal role as company secretary.
  • Supporting the team with monitoring and reporting both for the funds Natural Cambridgeshire administers and the business plan and reporting to Trustees and partners.
  • Communications support working with the team and our agency on pulling together press releases, website updates, newsletters.

In addition, the ideal candidate will naturally demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including relationship building, collaboration and diplomacy
  • Ability to meet conflicting priorities whilst working under pressure
  • Self-starter with initiative and drive
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work - recognising the need to work outside of core office hours for evening meetings and events

This is a part-time role offering between 22.5 - 30 hours per week, with a salary range of £27,451 - £31,033 (pro rata) depending upon experience. Work location will be flexible in the Cambridgeshire area with home-based opportunities.
