The role is based within one of Cambridge's top research facilities and will involve guiding a group of engineering students and technicians, focused on Mechanics, Materials and Design.

Working within a large modern workshop / lab space, this is an environment for creating interesting engineering and varied engineering projects. You will provide support and hands-on training and guidance on a wide range of equipment and techniques.

You will also have responsibility for the maintenance of equipment and health and safety within the facility.

You should be qualified / educated or have a time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline or have an equivalent level of practical experience.

You should have excellent knowledge and use of the following:

Hand tools, mills, lathes, laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC equipment and sheet metal working

Experience in providing training to groups and on a one-to-one basis is also necessary.
