The Business Development Manager - South (Garden Centers + Indies) role covers a large customer base, split across garden centres, hardware stores, plant shops, and independent home stores. There will be at least one overnight stay per week. You must demonstrate Journey Planning experience.

Client Details

My client are well-established within the Garden & Home Industry. There are circa 400 existing accounts within the UK and this role has warm, established existing accounts. Majority of the role is existing business; however, this is an excellent incentive to bring on new business within Hardware/Garden Centres, Plant Shops, Independent/Home Stores, too. You can really make this role your own and is perfect for a target driven and hungry individual, who excels on short sales cycles, deal closing and can work quickly to calculate margins/pricing.

Description

The successful Business Development Manager - East Anglia (Garden Centres + Indies) will:

  • Proactively visit customers within the East Anglia Territory (60-70 customers)
  • Manage and develop relations with existing accounts
  • Proactively seek new business / upsell where possible
  • Journey Plan effectively i.e. furtherst out and work backwards, expect at least one night away per week dependent on planning
  • 3 calls per day (4 days per week) / prospect new business
