Main Duties:
- Co-ordinate employability skills programme delivery for a rolling caseload of students in a wide range of sector specific programmes. Such as, Business Administration, Customer Service, Hospitality, Adult Social Care, Digital Skills etc.
- Provide recruitment and selection support to build your caseload of students
- Provide both academic and pastoral support to students, working with them to raise their ambition and aspiration, ensuring they realise their full potential.
- Undertake all aspects of student assessment including initial assessments, internal verification and liaison with external verifiers and awarding bodies as required.
- Comply with the college’s maths and English strategy, maintaining your ability to embed both subjects into your teaching practice.
- Work with colleagues responsible for student services to deliver an overall student experience, which engages, inspires and prepares students for the world of work.
- Work with the Team Leader and Quality to continually strive for excellence and improve standards.
Requirements:
- Maths and English qualifications to GCSE grade C or equivalent or ability to achieve
- Previous experience of working within the employability sector
- Experience of training others in non-traditional teaching environments
- Able to work some evenings and Saturdays if required.
- Able to work away from the College campus if necessary
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Sound administration/ organisation skills.
- Working knowledge of health and safety
