Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for maintenance? My client are looking for a versatile General Maintenance Assistant to handle both reactive and planned tasks. From general repairs and meter readings to furniture moving and building condition surveys, you'll keep our facilities in top shape.Key Responsibilities:
- Set up rooms for functions
- Perform general repairs and routine maintenance.
- Move furniture and furnishings.
- Respond to emergencies outside normal hours on a rota basis.
- Undertake various tasks as directed by management.
Whats Needed:
- Experience in building maintenance.
- Basic IT skills (emails, record keeping, smartphone use).
- Adaptability and initiative.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Comfort working at heights.
- Positive attitude and methodical approach.
- Punctuality and good presentation.
- Flexibility in working hours.
- Valid driving license for van use.
Health and Safety:
- Show a responsible attitude towards health and safety.
- Observe rules and regulations.
- Undertake necessary training.
Details:
- Pay:£29,960 per annum.
- Hours:39 hours/week (Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-4pm).
- Holiday:25 days + 8 public holidays.
- Meals:Free lunch provided during duty hours.
