Document Controller Opportunity in Cambridge!

I wanted to bring to your attention an exciting opportunity for a Document Controller in the Cambridge area. My client is a leading mechanical and electrical contractor who specialise in high-profile commercial office and data centre. Due to a successful growth in their project pipeline, they are now looking to expand their team and are seeking a Document Controller to join their Cambridge team.

EDMS Software: Aconex

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Download and log documentation, updating schedules for progress reports.
  • Issue documentation to subcontractors with trackers and schedules.
  • Schedule weekly PM/CM site inspections.
  • Maintain operative tracker for induction details, flagging expired cards.
  • Ensure completion of site setup checklist with the project team.
  • Organize hard copy site records for the office.
  • Record, distribute, and update documents and drawings using controlled software.
  • Scan and manage weekly notes to head office.
  • Assist with QA document management.
  • Book and coordinate monthly forums, issuing key items to subcontractors.
  • Distribute weekly toolbox talks to subcontractors.
  • Print and file RAMS, ensuring operatives are signed up and up to date.
  • QA check all RAMS, ensuring dates and revisions are correct, and all required data is included.
  • Create and distribute Health and Safety packs to subcontractors.
  • Update daily progress reports, logging documents and client comments.
  • Number and identify all project documents.
  • Perform QA checks on all project documents.
  • Log drawings received from CAD bureaus/subcontractors.
  • Input and file incoming drawings and design documents.
  • Set up and configure the document control system for the project.
  • Manage procurement-related information distribution via the control system.
  • Maintain accurate records of all drawings and construction documents throughout the project.

Extra: The role will be office based, with 2 working from home days per month.
