Provectus Recruitment are excited to offer this incredible opportunity, for an EC&I engineer to join an innovative, well-funded start-up in Cambridge, that have pioneered novel technology that will be used to transform the energy market, by using waste-heat to create sustainable fuels.

You will be joining a highly scientific business that is about to enter the production phase of their product. This position will allow the candidate complete autonomy to develop the Electrical Control & Instrumentation elements in whichever way they deem suitable. You will be part of the first engineering team within the business and have a broad range of responsibility and a large influence in the way EC&I is done.

Key Duties

The focus of this role will be to Design & Develop Electrical, Control & Instrumentation designs, whilst focusing on electrical safety, compliance, quality, reliability & cost.

  • Electrical, control & instrumentation design (Pressure, Temperature, Flow, Measurement)
  • Electrical safety
  • Software design specs
  • Instrumentation schedules
  • Process & Instrumentation Designs (P&ID)
  • Cable schedules
  • Logic diagrams
  • Safety cases
  • FAT Testing of finished systems

If possible

  • Define/Write PLC EC&I programs using C/C++
  • Design & configure HMI
