The ONE Group are working with a very friendly Cambridge based company to recruit for an Equipment Engineer. They require someone to provide hands-on support to ensure their equipment operates reliably and safely.
This is a hands-on position where you will be the main contact for laboratory and cleanroom equipment ensuring that this operates reliably, efficiently & safely.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
Schedule and carry out PPM
- Respond efficiently to breakdowns
- Regular equipment inspections & test
- Maintain documentation & records
- Continuous improvement
- Liaise with external contractors
- Keep essential spares well stocked and re-order when needed
- Occasional site and building maintenance and repair
What do we need from you?:
- Ideally a recognised electrical/mechanical qualification
- Significant experience working in equipment engineering in a manufacturing / industrial environment
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls
- Knowledge of automation and control systems
- PLC programming
- Able to diagnose faults
- Experience in the design, development, and improvement of equipment systems
- Experience with CAD software
- IT proficient
- Experience working in a lab/cleanroom would be highly desirable
