Overview
A leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electro-mechanical Assembler to join their expanding team. This role involves supporting the Operations team with a focus on electromechanical assembly, writing SOPs, and maintaining a well-organized workspace.

The Role:
The company is rapidly growing and requires a skilled and detail-oriented Electro-Mechanical Assembler to assemble bespoke analysis systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience with delicate instrumentation assembly and electronics, with strong troubleshooting and repair skills. Experience with optical assemblies is desirable. This position requires independent operation, a solid background in working with electronic and electromechanical equipment, and advanced laboratory instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble bespoke analysis systems, ensuring all components are correctly integrated and functioning.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues during the assembly process.b
  • Building sub assemblies and working to engineering drawings
  • Wiring, looming and harness forming
  • Cable crimping and terminating
  • Collaborate with other departments to address technical issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of assembly, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Provide support to other team members.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve assembly processes and contribute to product development.
  • Implement and maintain 5S methodology to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the wider Operations group as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum A-level education within an Engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in electromechanical assembly, testing, or repair environments.
  • Experience in developing assembly processes, identifying flaws, and enhancing documentation for electromechanical, electrical, and electronic instrumentation is highly advantageous.
  • ISO9001 experience preferred; GLP/GMP experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Confident in presenting KPIs and updates at team meetings.
  • Organized, diligent, and passionate about attention to detail.
  • Proactive, motivated, and able to work on own initiative.
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
