An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Hardware Engineer based in Cambridge, to join a world-leader in network development for Internet of Things ("IoT") communications.

The Senior Hardware Engineer, Cambridge, will report into the Hardware Team Leader and will require a hands-on, practical Engineer with knowledge and ideally, some experience in the following areas:

  • Supporting the team in the delivery of development projects.
  • Working on Wireless/Cellular based Hardware Development and testing.
  • Compliance testing.
  • Testing and verifying product performance / endurance against design specifications and producing test reports.
  • Hands on debugging / reworking, hardware bring up, use of standard lab equipment.
  • Knowledge of Altium designer (or other similar CAD packages).
  • Design for manufacturing and Design for testing.

The Senior Hardware Engineer, Cambridge, will ideally have a qualification in Electronics and will have the following experience:

  • Ability to use industry standard CAD tools + library management.
  • Knowledge of Telecommunication standards, 2G, 3G, LTE, CDMA with knowledge of cellular protocol stack.
  • Knowledge of Protocols TCP/IP, Sockets, HTTP etc.
  • Knowledge of the RF basic concepts and the RF systems.
  • Design / schematic capture / PCB Layout / validation.

The successful candidate will join a highly technical team of engineers tasked with creating the next generation of cutting-edge products which will provide significant growth to the organisation.

This opportunity would be ideal for a graduate engineer with 5-10 years' work experience in hardware development and testing.
