A market leading organisation are looking to add a Principal Electronics Design Engineer to join their growing design team in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.This company design and manufacture a range of fire detection technologies that are sold all over the UK.

The products are used within the consumer electronics industry and due to growth, they are looking to add a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to become a key member of their development department.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Electronics Design Engineer job:

  • Schematic design, circuit layout, prototyping and bench testing
  • Act as the main initial point of contact for electronics
  • Produce work plans for the team, engineering reports and operating manuals

Key skills / experience required for the Senior Electronics Design Engineer job:

  • Extensive experience developing electronic products
  • Proficiency with Altium 365 and similar tools
  • Proven experience of delivering high quality designs in a regulated environment
  • The ability to line manage, lead and coach other team members
  • Solid technical authoring ability
  • A driving licence is required as the site in Cambridge is difficult to reach by public transport

This is a hybrid job with approximately 3-4 days per week on site depending on the project work taking place.
