Reed Practice have been instructed by an autonomous, innovative and expanding accountancy firm to the west of Cambridge, to recruit an Assistant Manager.
The role of Assistant Manager is a new post created in reaction to the growth of the firm. The primary functions are to manage a portfolio of clients as well as support the senior managers mentor and develop the less experienced team members.
Your role as Assistant Manager will include, by not limited to –
- Play a key part in assisting managing a varied portfolio of clients, both in sector and size.
- Partnering with the manager to ensure the continuity of providing a high quality of accounting and taxation service.
- Assist in mentoring, coaching, managing a team of motivated and talented trainees.
- Have an input to growth plans and ideas, identifying opportunities for the firm to further cement your importance in the business.
- Draw on your knowledge of an accountancy practice to identify potential improvements to the firms’ processes and procedures

 Given the significance of the Assistant Manager position, we are looking for specific experience. This includes:
- Ideally a fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, etc) accountant from Practice. Â
- We will consider those with some exams completed, or without qualifications but proven experience working in an accountancy practice to UK standards
- You must have some involvement in managing or at least working directly with clients
- At the very least, mentored and helped junior team members on assignments on clients’ site and in the office.
