The ONE Group has partnered exclusively with a Cambridge-based Financial Advisory firm to recruit a Finance Executive. Reporting directly to directors and partners, this role focuses on providing clients with precise business planning, insights, and financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on various deals, seeking advice from senior team members as required
- Research and summarise rationales for buyers in sell-side mandates and targets for buy-side mandates
- Conduct valuation research for both sell-side and buy-side mandates
- Identify acquisition targets for buy-side projects
- Reach out to buyers on sell-side mandates with supervision from senior members
- Manage your workload effectively, keeping the team informed on progress and raising questions as needed
- Engage in team business development efforts and networking activities
Client Engagement:
- Prepare transaction documents, such as information memorandums, business plans, and offer summaries, for senior review
- Build financial models in Excel
- Act as a primary contact on routine project matters and client questions throughout engagements
- Support senior team members in client meetings, including preparation and follow-up
- Improve decision-making on when to seek guidance and manage time effectively
- Attend networking events to build a professional peer network
- Assist senior team members with business development and marketing tasks
- Support pitch document creation by compiling research on valuations, recent deals, and potential buyers or targets
- Seek and apply feedback to continuously improve performance
- Gain experience in teamwork within a Corporate Finance setting
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Qualified in AAT/ACCA/ACA
- Background in financial services or practice
- Proficiency in Excel
- Self-disciplined, collaborative, client-focused, and commercially aware
