Your role as Audit Assistant ManagerAs an Audit Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in leading audits, managing teams, and supporting client engagements. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and leading audit engagements, managing onsite teams (70% of your time).
  • Preparing accounts and drafting tax computations (30% of your time).
  • Reviewing the work of team members and ensuring the quality of audit files.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members, offering feedback and guidance.
  • Liaising with clients to resolve queries and escalate complex matters as needed.
  • Ensuring assignments are delivered within pre-determined budgets and timescales.

What you'll need to succeed as Audit Assistant Manager

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA, CA, ICAS, or ACCA.
  • Proven experience planning and leading external audits.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102 and strong technical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with client-facing experience.
  • Familiarity with audit software (e.g., Caseware) and Microsoft Office packages.
