Our client is seeking an ambitious and experienced Commercial Account Executive to join their dynamic team in Cambridge. This sales-focused position offers the autonomy to expand commercial services, providing expert, independent advice while growing both new and existing business in the area.

You will inherit a book of business and will be expected to expand it further.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate confidently and effectively to deliver expert commercial insurance advice, supported by our knowledgeable team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive business growth.
  • Understand and apply insurance terminology in complex commercial scenarios.
  • Provide detailed explanations of insurance products, leveraging local knowledge to enhance business development.
  • Tailor product offerings to meet the unique demands of clients.
  • Utilize technical expertise to navigate insurance products and principles.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar broker or insurance role.
  • Strong understanding of insurance terminology and application in commercial contexts.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to clients.
  • Knowledge of insurance product features, benefits, exclusions, and warranties.
  • Proficiency in tailoring solutions to client needs.
  • Basic understanding of financial security and claims principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Preference for candidates holding Cert CII or progressing towards further qualifications.
  • Familiarity with local industries and businesses is a plus.
