Are you an experienced Corporate Tax Professional, ready to step into a leadership role where you are able to oversee a portfolio of impressive clients whilst mentoring a talented team based in Cambridge?

Well, an outstanding opportunity has arisen to join a Top 40 expanding, accountancy firm either at the Manager or Senior Manager level, dependent on experience. This firm is known for valuing expertise, having a long-standing reputation nationally for delivering exceptional service to their clients whilst also developing and promoting their staff's long-term growth.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support to senior managers and partners in the delivery of both tax compliance and advisory services, helping to ensure clients receive accurate, timely, and strategic guidance.
  • Work with a diverse portfolio of clients, gaining exposure to a wide range of tax matters and commercial challenges.
  • Take responsibility for preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations, personal tax returns, technical letters, and advisory reports, ensuring all deliverables meet high-quality standards and comply with current legislation.
  • Manage project budgets effectively, tracking progress against timeframes and ensuring profitability, while also identifying opportunities to improve processes and client service.
  • Actively contribute to ongoing and ad-hoc tax projects.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, providing technical training, reviewing their work, and fostering a collaborative and growth-focused team environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • ACCA, ICAEW, or ATT qualified (or qualified by experience), with a strong foundation in corporate tax and a proactive approach to professional development.
  • Ideally CTA qualified or working towards CTA, with a genuine interest in deepening tax expertise and staying up to date with legislation changes.
  • Technically competent and confident using tax software and accounting systems, with strong ICT skills including Excel and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrates leadership potential through mentoring junior staff, contributing to team knowledge-sharing, and supporting a positive, solutions-focused work culture.
  • Eager to take initiative, continuously learn, and contribute to firm-wide success by embracing new challenges, improving processes, and building strong client relationships.
