This role is working for a business with fantastic values who are on a mission to make a difference and a positive change to our environment.Working in a small finance team, you will take control of the Accounts Receivable processes including credit control.Duties will include:

  • Overseeing a team of two Finance Assistants.
  • Managing credit control, including following up on overdue payments and preparing aged debtor reports.
  • Overseeing daily sales ledger activities, which include:
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Issuing sales invoices and credit notes, and investigating debit note discrepancies.
  • Updating customer account information within the accounting system.
  • Reconciling customer statements.
  • Ensuring clear communication between the sales team and accounts receivable, keeping both parties informed of customer account queries.
  • Conducting weekly ledger reviews to identify and address any discrepancies.
  • Assisting the Head of Finance with process improvements
  • Supporting the preparation of quarterly VAT returns

You will need to be an expert in all things accounts receivable and be capable of supporting and guiding junior members of the team.In return for your skills and expertise, my client offers a salary up to £36,000 and a varied benefits package.This role is working on site everyday, Monday to Friday, from their offices in North Cambridge.
