We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our team in a pivotal role that will lead our financial operations. As part of our Senior Management team, your commercial approach will help to drive the growth of our business, produce financial insights to the board of directors and management, and meet our strategic goals.
Reporting directly to our CEO, youll be an all-rounder who can manage the-day to-day financial function, whilst understanding the bigger picture and how you can influence key commercial drivers of our commercial performance.
Role accountabilities
- Manage the companys day-to-day financial function: run our accounting processes and monthly financial cycle such as P & L, balance sheets, cash flow, accruals and pre-payments.
- Preparation of financial reports: internal management reports, analysis of and commentary on budgets, cost analysis, cash flow, profitability and forecasting to Senior Management and the Company Board.
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities: maintain the general ledger, processing accounts payable/receivable, and reconciling bank statements.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes: ensure alignment with strategic goals and company targets.
- Maintain financial records and processes: utilise our accounting software (Xero), Excel, and internal systems.
- Payment of monthly payroll: prepare monthly payroll schedule for our accountants and manage associated process such as management of PAYE and NI, sales commission scheme payments and pension contributions.
- Driving business performance and revenue growth: Closely collaborating with the Business Development team to drive revenue growth through targets, sales and pipeline analytics, and profitability/ product costing analysis.
- Manage cash flow: ensure financial commitments are met and costs are managed.
- Meet financial obligations and regulatory requirements; ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Oversee accounts of International Workplaces holding company (Workplace DNA Ltd), and a linked property investment company: Liaise with external accountants at year end, maintain oversight of limited amount of transactional activity and run invoicing, supplier payments and cashflows.
- Provide financial leadership and support for the board of directors: Collaborate on strategic and operational planning, management and control of commercial activities and support the board of directors and senior management with high-level decision making.
About you
- Youll be ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Youll have proven experience within a senior finance role where youve gained experience in all aspects of company accounting / a finance function.
- Were looking for someone who can translate finance and accounting into an operational reality, so youll be commercially aware and able to tell a story with the numbers.
- Youll have extensive experience in Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis.
- This is a standalone role youll take pride in owning your accountabilities and thrive being the financial lead within the business.
- Experience of Xero accounting software is highly desirable!
