Butler Rose is excited to present an opportunity with a well-established accountancy firm near Cambridge known for its supportive, flexible work environment and commitment to professional development. They seek an experienced tax professional to join their team, handling private client compliance and advisory work across a diverse client portfolio, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, landlords, and non-domiciled individuals. Key responsibilities also encompass HMRC Enquiries, Disclosures, and 60-day CGT Returns, offering an ideal role for a skilled tax expert ready to grow in a dynamic setting.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage an interesting and varied portfolio, becoming the primary contact for clients.
  • Advise on personal tax matters, including Inheritance Tax (IHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), trusts, property holding structures, and the taxation of employee share awards/options.
  • Work on complex cases involving internationally mobile individuals and HMRC disclosures.
  • Report directly to the Director and senior management while independently managing day-to-day work.
  • Review work prepared by junior team members and participate in meetings with prospective clients.

Personal Requirements

  • Open to applicants qualified by experience, as well as those with ATT or CIOT credentials.
  • Expected to demonstrate autonomy in managing a full client portfolio.
  • Responsible for reporting to the Director and senior management.
  • Involved in guiding and reviewing the work of junior team members.
