This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of clients, deliver high-quality tax advisory services, and lead a team of talented junior professionals.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Corporate Tax partners and team members across the region. They will leverage their technical knowledge to provide expert corporate and business tax advice, supervise the work of junior staff, and engage in business development activities.

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate and business tax clients, ensuring high standards of service
  • Supervise the production of Corporation Tax Returns, computations, and related advice
  • Advise on remuneration planning and profit extraction strategies
  • Address tax issues related to business acquisitions and disposals, including Business Asset Disposal Relief, working alongside the Corporate Finance team on M&A transactions
  • Lead corporate group restructuring and advise on Capital Allowances
  • Handle R&D tax credits, Patent Box, and Land Remediation Relief claims
  • Manage cross-border tax issues, including Transfer Pricing and large company compliance
  • Oversee tax due diligence, Employment Related Securities (including employee share schemes), Loan Relationships, and EIS/SEIS advice
  • Mentor junior staff, providing guidance on complex compliance and advisory tasks
  • Actively participate in business development to grow the firm’s client base

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • ACA or ACCA part-qualified or studying, with extensive experience in UK practice
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate and business tax within a professional services environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development
  • Proficiency with ICT tools (Excel, Word); experience with Alphatax and CCH software is advantageous
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel within East Anglia
