Robert Half are exclusively partnered with an instantly recognisable organisation in their pursuit of a new Group Tax Manager. This role will take responsibility for the groups tax structures, compliance, and planning and report to the Group Financial Controller.

To be successful in this role you should have prior experience working with both direct and indirect taxation and be committed to providing excellent support for the wider business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with the local accounting teams to ensure all relevant information is extracted for return compilation and feeding back any adjustment entries that may be required
  • Review and sign off of monthly VAT returns
  • Co-ordinate and manage the UK corporation tax return and RDEC submissions
  • Responsible for tax-related processes and ensure that these are continually developed and updated to support continued compliance
  • Drive the tax strategy of the business, reviewing current and future planned operations to identify tax risks and provide solutions to ensure that the business operates in a compliant and tax-efficient manner
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure that all relevant Master Data in the ERP for the successful completion of the returns is kept up-to-date and is accurate
  • Work with the Group Financial Controller and external tax advisors to establish and document transfer pricing policies that ensure that the Group is as tax efficient as possible
  • Act as key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for all tax matters, working with local internal tax specialists where required
  • Manage and coordinate any tax audits as they arise

Skills and qualifications:

  • Recognised tax or accounting qualification (eg. CTA, ACA), or equivalent
  • Around 3 years' plus post-qualification experience, either in industry or with a top 10 firm with a focus on taxation
  • Experience of working in or working with multi-national companies
  • US tax knowledge would be a particular benefit to support the Group's market entry strategy
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail is a must
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with external and internal stakeholders
  • Proficient in using relevant tools, such as ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in team environments as the task requires

Salary and Benefits:

The role of Group Tax Manager is offered with a salary of up to £90,000 plus bonus and will be based in Cambridge with flexible and hybrid working.
