Trainee Flexographic Printer

Our industry leading Labels manufacturing client based just outside of Cambridge is currently on the lookout for a Trainee Flexographic Printer. The company is a worldwide established organisation that has won several awards.

No Flexographic Print experience is required for the role however you must be from a print background of some sort (ideally Digital, Litho or Large Format). You will be trained to become a fully fledged Flexographic Printer within the Labels industry and once trained some of the role duties would be:

The Role:

  • Follow all safety procedures in operating equipment and performance of job duties
  • Operate Flexographic Printing equipment according to procedures and job specifications
  • Daily productivity responsibility ensuring that individual schedule and targets set are achieved.
  • Responsibility for cleanliness and general maintenance of equipment used in the process.
  • Relaying information through the Specification sheet on how jobs are produced and exactly what settings are required to repeat the process.
  • To work with Shift Supervisor to continually improve quality, processes and production efficiencies.
  • Advising the Shift Supervisor if any tooling is not performing as well as is expected so that, if necessary, replacements can be purchased.
  • Ensuring job set up in most efficient time using minimal ink and materials

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop team working and problem-solving
  • PC literacy
  • Ability to build effective relationships with work colleagues
  • Able to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives

 

Shifts:

One week rotating shift pattern-

  • 6am – 2pm
  • 2pm – 10pm
  • Mon – Friday

Salary

- £30,000 - £32,000 doe
