The company is seeking a finance professional with experience in producing accounts to trial balance and knowledge of debits and credits.
The role requires proficiency in Sage Line 50 and involves managing sales and purchase ledgers, VAT returns, and reconciliations.
The position offers a salary of £38,000 - £40,000 pro rata, equating to £28,500 to £30,000 for a 30-hour work week.
Candidates should have a strong work ethic and the ability to fit into a friendly team environment.
Applicants must have a British Passport, settled status, or a long-term visa to work in the UK.

You have a real strength in producing accounts to TB and take pride in your knowledge of debit and credits. Maybe you don't feel appreciated where you are or need a role where you work 30 hours but what you do want is a company with great bosses, where you are treated like a human being.I met with the partners of such a company recently. They are great guys running a manufacturing SME with a £2 million turnover. Usually, they keep their staff but their finance person is now retiring. This leaves them with the dilemma that they need someone who is loyal, hard working and can fit into a friendly team. Key areas of responsibility will include:

Good experience of Sage Line 50
Dealing with all aspects of sales and purchase ledger
VAT Returns
Nominal accounts journals
Accruals and prepayments
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Preparing cost of sales and WIP valuations
Reconciling the sales financing account
Learning about Bills of Materials
