Our client is an award-winning university spin off that has developed and patented a high throughput screening platform combining synthetic & stem cell biology. Their technology allows for precise, efficient, and consistent gene editing of human pluripotent stem cells which can be done at scale for research, drug discovery and cell therapy purposes.

A pivotal role has arisen within the Business Development team for an experienced Sales Operations Specialist.

Working closely alongside the Senior Manager of Commercial Operations, you will focus on ensuring customer orders are monitored and processed effectively. You will utilise your communication and interpersonal skills to maintain strong vendor relationships, liaise across the business to ensure customer orders are delivered seamlessly, and manage/triage customer enquiries.

You will also focus on managing the CRM system; monitoring, reporting and forecasting on commercial performance. Using your high level of proficiency in Excel and CRM management, you will undertake significant sales data analysis and reporting; helping to identify process improvements and contribute to the overall success of the commercial team.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in a similar sales operations position, ideally in a product-based company
  • Experience with HubSpot (or similar) CRM systems; able to build sales reports and identify opportunities through the sales process
  • Exceptional Excel skills, confident handling & analysing sales data
  • Comfortable using order processing systems and manging vendors
  • Exceptional communication skills

To be successful, you must be organised, meticulous and assertive.

This role will be based onsite at the Cambridgeshire laboratory, with an option for remote working up to 2 days per week.
