About the Role

My client is seeking skilled professionals to join their growing Security Operations Centre (SOC) team. As a provider of outsourced security monitoring and incident response services, they support a diverse range of customers with a Microsoft-centric technology stack.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in IT support, security operations, or system deployment, looking to specialise in Microsoft-focused security services. My client offers comprehensive training, with opportunities to gain Microsoft security certifications, from Security Operations Analyst to Certified Security Administrator Associate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Log and categorise security events, incidents, and customer inquiries.

  • Conduct initial event analysis and escalate issues as necessary.

  • Investigate security alerts and liaise with customers to confirm resolution.

  • Work within a rotating 24/7 shift schedule.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience installing and managing security software.

  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including:

    • Microsoft 365 suite

    • Azure Active Directory

    • Azure portal

Desirable Experience
  • Previous work in a SOC or cybersecurity team.

  • Hands-on experience with Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Azure Sentinel).

  • Familiarity with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools.

  • Relevant Microsoft security certifications.
